A lane change by a new mid-engine 2020 Corvette apparently led to a fatal accident involving a 2014 Camaro in Rancho Cucamonga, California on May 2.
According to the California Highway Patrol:
Both cars were traveling north on I-15 at speeds greater than 65 miles per hour about 5:13 p.m.
For those of you who have attended Corvettes at Carlisle over the last few years, this custom 1972 Corvette needs no introduction. And now after 38 years of ownership, Joe Barra is putting his prized Corvette up for sale at VetteFinders.com
Joe describes his 1972 Corvette as a piece of “rolling art with a lot of horsepower and a nasty attitude,” and it’s hard not to argue with that description.
A recent article that calls the 2020 Corvette Stingrays the “Virus Vettes” has set me off this morning and I got a few things to say about the doom and gloom naysayers who want to believe this kind of clickbait crap.
The 2020 Corvette has been one of the most anticipated vehicles to hit the market and customers have responded so positively that the car was effectively sold out for the 2020 model year even before the coronavirus put a halt to manufacturing.

C7 Corvette owners know that the biggest source of paint damage to the cars comes when the sticky Michelin performance tires pick up rocks and other debris and launches them towards the rear of the vehicle. We know that one of the most important things that GM and the UAW can do together is coming up with a plan that allows the resumption of production at plants across America including the Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green while keeping employees as safe as possible.
To that end, we know that masks and social distancing will play a role in keeping the workers safe, yet on many assembly lines, it is impossible not to remain distant from co-workers.

Here’s an interesting wrap job on a 2020 Corvette Stingray that is owned by a YouTuber named Christina Khalil. She is not one that I follow although I am aware she has been posting Corvette content on her channel.
However, her latest video caught my eye as she had her 2020 Arctic White Stingray wrapped in what is described as Satin Black with Satin Smoldering Red racing stripes and accents and with the tinted windows it gives the car a very aggressive stance.

As the number of vehicles on America’s roads has decreased due to the coronavirus lockdown, the number of speeding tickets for 100 mph+ drivers is said to be increasing. We’ve charted a few super-speeders on these pages over the years, but nothing like this from a 31-year-old Corvette driver in Washington state.

Conflicting reports are coming out about GM’s plans to sell right-hand drive Corvettes in The Land Down Under.
While CarAdvice is reporting that the RHD Corvette may become a victim of the coronavirus post-economic doldrums (see separate story), CarScoops says an Australian publication, Which Car, is reporting that the C8 Corvette and other Chevrolets, too, will still be sold in Australia.
