Yesterday we took off half the day to visit with our friends at the Corvette Dream Giveaway. Sorry, we can’t talk about future product (I always wanted to say that!), but what I can talk about are the two cars that represent the biggest Corvette grand prize ever in the 12-year history of the Corvette Dream Giveaway.
We came across this financial report produced by Morgan Stanley on the future of the Corvette and it’s pretty interesting.
Financial firms do these kinds of forward-outlook reports all the time, and in this report, the automotive analysts at Morgan Stanley appear to be very bullish on the future of the Chevrolet Corvette.
In August of 2017 we told you the story of Van Bortel Chevrolet’s unrestored 1967 Corvette convertible. The Ermine White roadster was purchased new by Anthony C. Capozzi Jr. After a stint in the army, Anthony returned home and immersed himself in his family’s businesses. One of those ventures was known as Nino’s Antiques.

Univision autos correspondent Jaime Gabaldoni shared a pretty cool video showing the start-up screen on the 2020 Corvette Stingray, as well as some tasty revs of the 495-hp LT2 V8 engine.
The start-up screen animation has been observed a few times before. Push the start button and the Corvette’s 12-inch digital dash display shows the side profile of the C8 as it morphs into the Tour Driver’s Mode.
Along with being named MotorTrend’s Car of the Year comes the bragging rights of being judged the most worthy new car by a panel of automotive industry experts.
Our friend Mike Furman of Criswell Chevrolet sent us this photo showing today’s Wall Street Journal as Chevrolet placed a full-page ad to let everyone know the good news!
We start our countdown exactly where this whole Corvette thing started. Yes, third place on our countdown of the best Corvettes of the ’50s is the 1953 model. We went back and forth on whether the ’53 should be #1 or just off the podium for the fabulous 50s countdown. When the dust settled, we decided that our list was about “best,” not “most significant” and the ‘Vette’s genesis wasn’t without its flaws.

Here’s another good post-season video from our friends at Mobil 1 the Grid that explores the internal competition on Corvette Racing’s squad between the two crew chiefs, Dan Binks and Brian Hoye. The two have worked and competed together for 30 years and while it seems like the competitive spirit is alive and well between the two, both say that all that matters in the end is Corvette Racing getting the win.

Last week, Kerbeck Corvette opened their C8 Help Desk to all Corvette shoppers who may have questions about configuring or ordering their Corvette.
As many of the initial questions received by Kerbeck’s reps had to do with the interior and the various seats, colors and other options available, the World’s Largest Corvette Dealer released this new video that may hopefully answer many of those questions.
Huge news broke on Monday night as the new 2020 Corvette Stingray is named MotorTrend’s Car of the Year!
It’s a massive win for the Corvette Team who up-ended 66 years of tradition and transitioned to the mid-engine architecture because of physics. They had simply wrung all the performance that was possible with the front-engine Corvettes.
