ACS Corvette ZR1 Smooth Supercharger Monster Hood (No Center Window)

Our latest addition to the line is the ACS’s C6 Monster Hood which fits all 2005 and up C6 Corvettes. This hood offers over 4” of additional engine clearance over a stock hood, it is the largest available on the market. It will clear all superchargers and undeniably show your Corvette has something special under the hood.

Hood is manufactured using ACS’s proprietary RTM process; panels are injected in a large press under pressure to ensure a smooth finish on either side for the highest possible composition. Panels are then robotically trimmed and bonded. Each hood then gets prepped and primed, this is an industry first! The result is a level of unsurpassed quality.

Internal coated hardware is designed to meet OEM specifications and ensure your safety in the event of a collision. Rear hinge hardware incorporates a threaded metal bump stop receptacle along with a reinforced crash hook receiver.

RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) technology creates a part of OEM quality. Fiberglass is injected into a mold and then compressed under high pressure. This manufacturing method creates a panel that is smooth on both sides with a consistent thickness across the entire surface. The controlled fiberglass/resin composition of RTM, reduces cure times and eliminates the possibility of "wet" parts being removed from the mold prematurely. All of which is impossible with the standard hand laying process. Panels are then trimmed using a CNC robotic water jet for a clean, smooth cut on every part. The result is better fitting panel, reducing body shop installation and fitment times.

ACS Corvette hood's feature OEM brackets mounted to the inner structure of the hood to insure a ready to bolt on part. The ACS hoods have another feature not found in some aftermarket Corvette hoods but is present on the stock hood, reinforcements at the rear of the hood for the hood bumpers and the crash tabs. These brackets create the reinforcement necessary in a front end collision to cause the hood to fold in half instead of coming through the windshield.
