ACS Corvette ZR1 Smooth Hood (No Center Window)

NOTE: ACS has discontinued this Hood and all of their ZR1 Style Hoods from their Product line. It is not longer available. This listing is here for reference only. The only hoods from ACS like this are the L88 style hood.

Made from its validated RTM process each quality panel will be injected, robotically trimmed, prepped and primed to deliver a new level of quality never seen in the Corvette community. Panels can be installed on any C6 Corvette 2005 and up including coupes, convertibles and Z06.

Hood will offer extra clearance over stock, aprox  1 '' over the MAF sensor  and feature the signature ZR1 cowl.

Hood will not clear a Magnuson SC, but will a clear a Edlebrock SC, please take a look at our Monster Hood

RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) technology creates a part of OEM quality. Fiberglass is injected into a mold and then compressed under high pressure. This manufacturing method creates a panel that is smooth on both sides with a consistent thickness across the entire surface. The controlled fiberglass/resin composition of RTM, reduces cure times and eliminates the possibility of "wet" parts being removed from the mold prematurely. All of which is impossible with the standard hand laying process. Panels are then trimmed using a CNC robotic water jet for a clean, smooth cut on every part. The result is better fitting panel, reducing body shop installation and fitment times.

ACS Corvette hood's feature OEM brackets mounted to the inner structure of the hood to insure a ready to bolt on part. The ACS hoods have another feature not found in some aftermarket Corvette hoods but is present on the stock hood, reinforcements at the rear of the hood for the hood bumpers and the crash tabs. These brackets create the reinforcement necessary in a front end collision to cause the hood to fold in half instead of coming through the windshield.

The polycarbonate WINDOW insert lets you show off your engine covers or better yet showcase your top mount supercharger. HEAT EXTRACTOR insert will evacuate heat from the engine compartment to improve performance. Heading to a car  show, but still want to keep a stealth look, install the CARBON insert, this will instantly offer a two tone scheme, yet letting people know there is something special underneath.  ACS inserts can be stored in your trunk and are all interchangeable on the SS9 hood; installation can be done ALONE and in MINUTES.
