Gen5DIY 5th Gen 2010-2015 Camaro Live Rear-View Mirror Upgrade

Gen5DIY now has the kit available to add the live-view inside mirror option into your 2010-2015 Camaro.  This kit utilizes the roof mounted camera that is part of the GPS antenna assembly.  Kit includes a brand new inside mirror, brand new camera/antenna assembly, power cable and camera cable.   The camera/antenna assembly does come painted in gloss black from GM.   If looking for a different color or finish you will need to have that done at a facility of your choice.  Gen5DIY does not offer painting or wrapping services. 

The antenna assembly in the kit is from a 2020+ Camaro, this antenna is much larger than that of the 5th gen and the roof shape is slightly different.  We were able to finesse the camera to fully seal to the 5th gen roof.  You will see in the pictures that the center section is fairly flush with the roof but the front and back show a gap between the housing and the roof.  The gap is only of the housing, the seal is making full contact with the roof.  Please review this pictures carefully to make sure you are ok with the fitment as we will not accept returns for fitment issues. 

You will lose your on-star feature as the new mirror does not have provisions in it for on-star.  The new model Camaro's moved the on-star buttons to the overhead console.  You will retain XM service, if you currently have it.

Install Notes:

• Installation does require you to lower the rear of the headliner to access the antenna mounting bolt.  The headliner does not need to come completely out of the car.
