These GiroDisc 2-piece rotors are a direct replacement for the front and rear rotors on the Corvette C8 Z06 or Eray with Carbon Ceramic Brake Rotors. Our 2-piece, fully floating assemblies are direct replacements for the carbon ceramic rotors and utilize the factory calipers, but require different pad shapes.
For front rotors, the required pad shape is commonly known as D1405, the same pad shape as a Z06 without the Z07 package. For rear rotors, if your Z06 is equipped with the Z07 carbon ceramic brakes, you will need to use the rear pad shape from a factory iron Z06. Please contact us if you need assistance in finding the correct pads.
The rotor rings are machined from a proprietary casting made of high-carbon iron formulated to GiroDisc’s specifications. This superior metallurgy results in rotors that hold up better under hard use. The 72 curved vanes act as a centrifugal pump, pulling air in through the hub to effectively cool the rotors. The 2-piece design features a reusable hat that can be attached to new rings when they need to be replaced. The front replacement ring part number is D1-320, while the rear replacement ring part number is D2-319.
All major components, including the hats, rotor rings, and drive pins, are manufactured in-house at our facility in Bellingham, WA, from domestically sourced materials. The hats are made from 6061-T6 aluminum and coated in a black anodize finish. The drive pins are made from a high-strength steel alloy and cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance. All rotors are assembled with spring clips and Belleville washers for race-ready float while also being street-friendly with no noise from loose hardware.
The minimum recommended thickness for replacing the front rotor rings is 34mm, while for the rear rotor rings, it is 32mm. We also recommend replacing them if a crack leads to the edge of the ring.
Sold as a full conversion kit for front & rear.
Brake pads not included & will need to be sourced - must purchase Z06 Iron rotor pads.
