TPIS has developed and built a header kit to replace the restrictive factory exhaust manifolds. Kit includes left and right headers and an H-adapter. Installation requires cutting the front intermediate exhaust pipes from the catalytic converters and welding on the H-adapter. Several inches of exhaust pipe must also be cut from the rear pipe behind the cats. Utilizing factory hardware the headers are installed from the top of the engine after removal of the alternator, fuel rail covers, coil packs, valve covers, oil filter and steering shaft. Professional installation is strongly recommended. TPIS headers fit beautifully and allow easy spark plug access. These headers have been dyno tested and show a gain of 17 hp and 17 ft. lb. of torque.
