SX6R WCCB Carbon-Ceramic Rotor Front Brake Kits offer an extreme performance upgrade for 2014-2019 C7 Corvettes. Engineered to maximize braking capacity inside custom wheels. These brake kits offer a simple bolt-on installation with minor modifications required to the front spindle only and are fully compatible with ABS and OE master cylinder output. SX6R calipers were designed to provide high capacity braking with large diameter rotors for extreme duty and race vehicles. It is the largest dual purpose caliper Wilwood has produced, providing big brake performance for dual purpose street and track vehicles. 15.00? WCCB rotors are made from a proprietary blend ceramic matrix composite material commonly known as Carbon-Ceramic and dynamically using Wilwood's proprietary integrated anti-rattle Bobbin Mounting System. WCCB rotors offer higher thermal conductivity and heat capacity in excess of conventional iron or titanium rotors of similar or even greater weight and have been developed to withstand extreme temperatures with the highest possible degree of resistance against distortion, warping, cracking and wear.

Each kit includes all necessary hardware with DOT approved stainless steel braided flex lines, and a detailed instruction guide for an easy bolt-on installation.

SX6R forged six piston calipers deliver heavy duty stopping power for the road or track. The caliper incorporates race technology into a body design with widespread adaptability. Radial mounting, multiple options for piston volume, and a rotor diameter ranging to 15.00" give this caliper the versatility necessary to suit all types of heavy weight braking requirements. The new SX6R is is largest caliper with the latest innovations incorporating an exclusive dust wiper seal that further protects the piston bore from dust and corrosion, allowing the caliper to be used in locales that mandate a method of environmental sealing.

The body of SX6R series is stress-flow forged from a premium grade aluminum alloy billet. Stress-flow forging realigns the metal's internal grain structure to flow within the contour of the caliper body. This process eliminates the stresses and interruptions to the internal grain structure that occur when machining a straight block billet. The results are a caliper with superior clamping efficiency and ultimate strength against fatigue, stresses, and distortion under load.

Wilwood's C/SiC Rotor and Lug Drive Hat Assemblies are preassembled packages of our latest and greatest technology and design. The lug-drive rotor mounting system eliminates the rotor bolts and instead, a large single internal snap-ring retains the rotor in the hat. This system allows the rotors to move independently of the hats as they expand and contract through heat cycles. All thermally generated stress is removed from the rotor attachment points. The rotors stay flatter and run truer. Paired with C/SiC rotors that are made form a proprietary blend ceramic matrix composite material commonly known as Carbon-Ceramic. C/SiC rotors offer higher thermal conductivity and heat capacity in excess of conventional iron or titanium rotors of similar or even greater weight and are developed to withstand extreme temperatures with the highest possible degree of resistance against distortion, warping, cracking, and wear.
