Episode 1 of 12: Corvette Racing Series

Chevrolet’s Corvette Racing team will compete in nine American Le Mans Series (ALMS) races this year as a part of the GT2 class.

To give you, the fans, a better idea of what it’s like for the team, a 12-episode mini documentary has been put together for your viewing pleasure.

The first episode chronicles the team’s first full season competing in the 2009 ALMS GT2 class. The final moments of the Laguna Seca race, leading up to the Corvette C6.R crash just short of the finish line, are all captured.

Corvette Racing’s Doug Fehan, program manager, and Dan Binks, crew chief, are filmed announcing that the new Corvette C6.R will be faster in 2010 to avoid these crashes, which stripped the team of victory.

Catch all of this and more as the team prepares for the 2010 ALMS season.

[Accidents] C3 Chrome Bumper Corvette Takes Out a Papa Johns

I guess this C3 Corvette watched too many commercials of Papa John’s founder delivering pizza’s in the 1971 Camaro and decided it too wanted to break into the restaurant game. The Corvette was heavily damaged in the accident, and thanks to a passerby who saw the aftermath of the crash in New Albany, Indiana, we have video of what appears to be a very painful “extraction”.
